I came to visit Newbold as a prospective student and I just loved it: the faith-challenging theological classes, the friendly atmosphere around the campus, and the worship services (especially The Experience) heavily influenced my decision to withdraw from the BA in Sports Coaching and enroll at Newbold. Nevertheless, there was a stronger reason, perhaps the only reason, why I am here – God wants me to be!

HOW TO BOOK A VISIT

STEP 1 CHOOSE A DATE FOR VISIT

If you live locally then you might like to just visit for a day. If you are from a little further away then you can stay at Newbold for up to two nights for free, as long as the College isn’t on a break. Check our academic calendar for our semester dates.

Meals in the College cafeteria are also provided for the duration of your visit.

During College semester: because we want you to get the most from your experience, we encourage you to visit during our semester times (January to May; September to December) and during the week (Monday to Friday). This will enable you to have a fuller Newbold experience by attending lectures, meeting with our staff, participating in the student-led worship programmes, and joining in with other social activities.

During the summer: we offer a shorter version of our visit programme during the summer, which is available during the week (Monday to Friday). You will have the opportunity to meet our staff, some students, and to tour our campus.

STEP 2 CONFIRM YOUR VISIT

Once you request your preferred dates by filling in our online form, we will either confirm them with you or negotiate new dates depending on what is happening on campus, and what suits you.

Once your visit is confirmed we will put together a personalised schedule for your visit that you will receive ahead of your visit. Your schedule will indicate what time your first activity has been arranged for, but this will usually have been negotiated with you in advance.
If you would like to book and pay for any additional nights accommodation, this would be an ideal time to let us know.

STEP 3 PREPARE FOR YOUR VISIT

Newbold is easily accessible by train, bus or car. The College is also convenient to several international airports.

You can check in from 9:00am on the day of your visit, and need to check out by 2:00pm on the day of your departure (although you are still welcome to stay on campus for dinner and evening activities). Towels and bedding are provided in all of our guest rooms but you will need to bring personal toiletries.

You will have the opportunity to attend our worship programmes so you might like to bring your bible.

There is no dress code at Newbold, however, we would encourage individuals to dress modestly and remember that the College is a Christian environment.

If you are 16 or under you will need to bring a parent or guardian with you on your visit. Meals and accommodation will be provided for the parents/guardians of visitors under 16 years of age.

STEP 4 VISIT US!

When you arrive at the College, you can go directly to Reception, in Salisbury Hall, by the main entrance to the campus. Our Receptionist will help get your visit started, and you will be able to check in to your accommodation if you are staying on campus.
