Art Competition 2018

23 July 2018 00:00 - 29 August 2018 15:00

I am writing to you on behalf of the Croydon Seventh-day Adventist Church, concerning an exciting event we are organising.  We will be holding our second annual Art Competition from July to August  2018 in partnership with the Clocktower Café in Croydon. It is a free event which will be open to children and adults within the borough of Croydon and surrounding areas. Last year we were priviledged to have the Mayor of Croydon, Councillor Toni Letts presenting the prizes to the winners.

This year’s theme is A Healthier Croydon - A Change for Life’ which can be reflected using painting, drawing, photography, arts and crafts, and textiles.
Our aim is to help children and adults develop an appreciation and love of art, and an awareness of how it can be used as a means of expressing ideas, thoughts and feelings. We also want to use this competition as a means of getting young and old involved in the community.
We do hope you will find this of interest and share it with your pupils, staff, and all those you think might be interested. Our poster lists a number of events related to the art competition such as the opening ceremony, a fun art session, the exhibition and the award ceremony, all of which takes place at the Clocktower Café. Details of how to enter the competition are available on our website.
Let us unite our humble efforts in making Croydon a better place!
