NEC Announce New Role of Director of Human Resources
8th March 2019
In light of the changing economy and government policies which brings about regulatory and statutory change especially in light of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) the North England Conference (NEC) has recognised its need to fill this gap by employing a Director of Human Resources.
In a letter sent out announcing the decision and highlighting the various areas leading up to this appointment, the decision was made to appoint Adriana Murray (Adrie).
Having decided to take a one-year sabbatical to work specifically with the NEC, Adriana brings with her extensive Human Resources experience gained at a senior level within the HR arena. Her experience, , vision, determination, skill, God-given talent and faith have propelled her to be a good candidate to carry out this work.
Adriana's focus over the coming months amongst many things will be to strengthen employee communication and engagement and also assist the Officers and Executive Committee in identifying ways in which the Human Resources department of the NEC can be developed.
Having spoken to Adriana about her appointment she said the following:
"It is a privilege and a joy divine to be able to work with those who have commonality of purpose and vision for the NEC. I am enthused to have the invaluable opportunity to work with the NEC leadership to support them in achieving the NEC strategy and establishing a HR framework upon which they can build when my time with them comes to an end. Greater than both of these things, I am humbled to have been called to serve our Lord in this way. The needs of our Lord's vineyard are diverse and I recognise that the wealth of experience the Lord has allowed me to gain over the years has been for such a time as this.
"In stepping into this role one of my favourite scriptures is very much at the forefront of my mind; 'And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.'
"Keeping this promise and many others in mind I truly am ready to serve."
