10th August 2017

On Sunday 6 August, LondonLive Community Choir (LLCC) was invited to sing with 300 children from Barlby Primary School at the Community Shield football match.

The Football Association dedicated the game to the victims and surviving families of the Grenfell Tower culminating in a moment of silence, which was respected by the footballing crowd and many of those affected by the tragedy.

LLCC had the privilege of being invited by Simon Cowell and Gareth Malone to sing on the charity single, 'Bridge over Troubled Water' with proceeds also going direct to those affected by the fire. The choir and primary school have been personally touched by the tragedy, yet singing together has been a healing balm that has provided a place for all to express their grief, and also to celebrate the lives of those taken so cruelly from us
