This weekend will see extensive plans, preparations and rehearsals come to fruition as overseas speakers and local artists come together to recognise 500 years since the start of the Protestant Reformation and the impact on the development of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. A group of BUC directors and support staff will also be dressed in vintage clothing as a timeline of events take place commencing with Martin Luther and the nailing of his 95 theses to the door of Wittenberg Church.

The weekend of celebrations will commence on Friday evening 11 August at 7:30 pm at the Stanborough Park church with a Thanksgiving Service with guest speaker Dr Roy Adams speaking on the topic 'Lest we Forget: This is War'.

Sabbath services the next day will be held in a 1000-seater marquee on the grounds of Stanborough Park opposite the BUC offices. The day's programme promises to be enlightening, informative and spiritually uplifting as a number of themes are addressed such as the 'Historical Reflections of Adventists', and 'Who are Adventists?' presented by guest speakers Jeff Brown and Ron Halvorsen Jr. There will also be an afternoon Bible conference at 3:00 pm in the Stanborough Park School Chapel, that will explore more Reformation themes.

With musical renditions from the London Ghanaian and Croydon Choirs together with a host of musical artists for the early evening Hymn Festival segment at 6:00 pm, the day promises to be a very enriching occasion.

On Sunday, there will be a Fun Day for the whole family commencing at 12:00 noon. Members of the local community will join in the activities on the Park as we send a positive witness as Adventists of our spiritual and social persona.

We look forward to seeing you over the weekend of special events.
