The 2017 Evangelism Expo drew almost every member of the West Bletchley Community Church (WBCC) board, including interested church members. The church positively embraced the SEC's vision of 'Evangelism Everyone Everywhere', alongside the strategic quarterly plan for churches to approach local councils, pray and organise ministries, engage with the community and develop relationships with the contacts made with the purpose to invite them to a relationship with Jesus. In February, WBCC had conversations with the local council, deciphered community needs, offered community programmes and started planning on implementing them, one at a time.

The food bank, a regular ministry over the past few years, was expanded from running quarterly to monthly. In June, the church became part of the West Bletchley carnival, WBCC-Carnival-003where part of the SEC Pathfinder Drum Corps and the WBCC Pathfinders and Adventurers marched as second in line, arousing interest in the club from spectators. Additionally, at the church's carnival stand, members engaged with the community by inviting them to a challenge to drink more water and note improvements in their life and health, alongside sampling tasty freshly made vegetable and fruit juices. The juicing attracted queues, and discussions on health and healthier ways to incorporate juicing into the diet.

July saw the Mayor of Milton Keynes and his wife opening the church's Health Expo, where Dr Chidi Ngwaba (SEC Health Ministries director) was the keynote speaker with his presentations on Reversing Lifestyle Diseases. Millie Williams and her team carried out checks, Dr Gloria Mosha, talked about Mental Health, and a volunteer from Bowel Cancer UK, also gave health presentations.

Both church and community members, through the weights and measurements taken and information shared,WB4 were challenged to consider changes to their lifestyle in order to enhance health and well-being. At the end of July, a two-hour, week-long summer play scheme was 'resurrected' offering community children and their parents an alternative place to spend their summer days, engaging in a variety of activities such as painting, ball games, crafts, story time, to name but a few. This culminated in a seaside coach trip, fully funded by the church, which offered an opportunity to old and new commuwest-blethckeynity contacts to have a much-needed break with their children.

With the return of autumn and the new school term saw the commencement of a community harvest programme, as well Parentalk ‒ a programme the church offered to the community for the first time, which allowed parents a safe place to share and discuss parenting challenges, needs and strategies.

As the year draws wb2to a close, plans are underway for a Christmas party for all the old and new contacts made previously and this year through our activities, to maintain contact before the new year's projects start.

Having no church building does not stop the church from ministering to the needs within their community. Though challenged in fiWB1nding accommodation at regular and convenient times are inevitable, WBCC has managed to work around this, while raising funds and looking to God to provide a church building where the ministry can grow and diversify. At the heart of WBCC's activities, was prayer. This was achieved through members' willingness to fully embrace the GC quarterly prayer days and special sessions for key events.

Additionally, all these activities rallied church members together in the routine programmes such as fundraising, music and other special events. Please pray with WBCC as we all look towards a new year for God's leading and guidance in the furtherance of His work.
